WILD - Public Art Residency Program

At Madrona Marsh & Nature Center

During 2023-24 the Madrona Marsh Nature Center will host two different contemporary artists who will spend one month each creating a work on site which is inspired by nature. The finished work will be on display the following four months. Please come to the Opening Reception on June 3, 2023.

This program is made possible through a collaboration between the Torrance Art Museum Advocates, The Friends of Madrona Marsh and the City of Torrance Art Museum And Nature Center staff.

 

WILD - Katie Shanks

Katie Shanks will be creating her fiber art at the Nature Center. Her completed work will be on display June 3 – October 1, 2023

Second Guest

Dodd Holsapple will be creating at the Nature Center
October 17-Nov 14. The completed project will be on display November 14, 2023 - February 14, 2024
