Strategic Plans
Partner and or collaborate with other South Bay/Southern California 501c3 organizations that are aligned with nature and wildlife to:
Grow the effectiveness of Friends of Madrona Marsh
Host an ecology/wildlife conference
Support and or establish native open spaces within the South Bay including parks, trails, easements, sumps, local preserves
Support establishing habitat space, wildlife corridors or conservation of natural habitats where none may currently exist
Preserve and conserve the Preserve’s habitats and natural resources while promoting biodiversity.
Host Junior Naturalist Camp
Offer presentations at local schools
Sponsor a Torrance nature survey and wildlife photo contest
Host a speaker series
Host podcast series
Continue doing outreach events with other organizations
Create alliances with local schools (K-College) on research and environmental issues to increase Friends of Madrona Marsh presence in the community
Host an annual fundraising event
Provide incentives for being a Friends of Madrona Marsh member
Expand the Preserve thru assisting/advising natural habitat development in other areas of the City: Entradero Park, Henrietta Basin and other small niches. Recruit local volunteers to handle the work.
